Katy Perry has voiced her disapproval after the White House used her hit song 'Firework' in a TikTok video showcasing military operations.
The clip, which ran for nine seconds, highlighted what the administration called 'unclassified' footage of missile strikes on Iran.
Perry took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her anger, stating, "I am deeply appalled and angry to see 'Firework' used on the White House TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes."
She emphasized that she did not approve the use of her song, nor was she consulted, adding, "I absolutely do not condone it."

Originally released in 2010 as part of her album 'Teenage Dream,' Perry described 'Firework' as an anthem of hope and resilience.
