James Graham, a Filipino-American artist, is celebrating the overwhelmingly positive response he received after publicly acknowledging his identity as a member of the LGBT+ community.
In a recent interview, Graham expressed his initial fears before posting a TikTok video that revealed his identity. He admitted, "My initial reaction was fright. I was so scared."
Despite his apprehensions, Graham was pleasantly surprised by the supportive comments that followed his video. He remarked, "I didn’t expect the comments to be so positive. It helped me to accept the fact that I already came out."
Graham now views his unexpected coming out as a blessing. He stated, "I’m at peace with how it unfolded because I feel like I would have never told anyone if it didn’t come down to that."
The artist, known for his role in the series 'Royal Blood,' urged others facing similar situations to trust their own timing. He emphasized, "You just have to believe in yourself. You can come out, in your own time, as long as you’re comfortable. There’s no rush."

Graham feels liberated now that his true self is known. He said, "I’m living my best life. I feel like I can finally be who I am."
His journey of self-acceptance comes after he moved to the United States in February 2025 to pursue a nursing degree. In 2023, he was recognized as one of the Outstanding Youth of the Philippines, alongside notable figures like Princess Aliyah and Aidan Veneracion.
