HYBE has announced the creation of a new girl group, spearheaded by Han Sung-soo, the creative force behind popular K-pop acts.
This new group will debut under the sublabel ABD (A Bold Dream), which is focused on developing girl groups.
The label emphasizes a philosophy that encourages unconventional and playful ideas, aiming to enhance the music experience for fans.
Han will oversee the group's concept, music, performance, and overall identity. Meanwhile, No Ji-won, recognized for her work with PLEDIS Entertainment, has been named president of ABD.
Details about the group's debut are still under wraps, but they are expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026.
Han Sung-soo has an impressive track record, having worked with groups like Seventeen, TWS, and IZ*ONE, which featured members now prominent in the K-pop scene.
A New Era for Girl Groups
The formation of this girl group marks a significant step in HYBE's ongoing expansion in the competitive K-pop industry.
"The new label aims to pursue the intrinsic joy of music while exploring new possibilities and expanding the horizons of K-pop," stated HYBE.
