Pop star Britney Spears has pleaded guilty to reckless driving involving alcohol, according to a plea deal announced on Monday.
The 44-year-old singer was arrested in March after authorities observed her driving erratically in Ventura County, California. Initially charged with DUI, she accepted a lesser charge as part of the agreement.
In court, Spears received a sentence of 12 months probation, as confirmed by her attorney, Michael Goldstein.
