Ashtine Olviga, a prominent figure in the P-pop scene, will hold her first solo concert on August 22 at the New Frontier Theater. This marks a significant milestone in her evolving career.
During a recent press conference, Olviga shared her feelings of honor and excitement regarding her new opportunities. She emphasized the positive pressure she feels as she transitions into a solo artist.
"I feel honored with all the opportunities I’m receiving now, and the pressure in a good way because I’m being trusted to do other things," she said.
Previously part of several girl groups including UGG and LITZ, Olviga has redefined her career trajectory, particularly following her successful partnership with Andres Muhlach.
Reflecting on her solo journey, she stated, "I’m used to constantly being in a girl group. Now that I’m guided to do things on my own, I can’t believe it. I’ve learned to believe in myself more."
Olviga also revealed that she is working on a mini-album and is excited to showcase her dance skills during the concert. She aims for a balance between her music and acting aspirations.
"Going solo is for my performance growth. I want to experience different things to improve more," she noted.
Her recent single, "Love Like U," was released in April, marking her first step in her solo music career. Fans can look forward to her concert as she continues to build her artistic identity.
