Pinamungajan will soon benefit from a P2 million funding boost for a new public library. This initiative, announced by Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro, is aimed at improving access to educational resources for the local community.
Planned Facilities to Enrich Local Learning
We will build a multipurpose building for our Municipal Circuit Trial Court, museum, research center for the youth, and library.

The new library will be part of a multipurpose complex that includes a research center, museum, and Municipal Circuit Trial Court, with construction expected to commence after the design phase.
Addressing the Need for Educational Resources
This project aligns with the provincial government's "Basa Ta, Cebu" initiative, which promotes reading and literacy among students. Governor Baricuatro noted that combating misinformation is crucial, stating that reading remains a vital tool for education.
The new library is designed to include advanced technology to support various learning activities. It aims to provide a dedicated space for young residents to enhance their reading and learning skills.
Broader Support for Pinamungajan
In addition to the library funding, the Pinamungajan local government recently received P3 million for its Charter Day celebration. A usufruct agreement was also signed to facilitate the construction of educational facilities at Lamac Elementary School.
