A woman's body was discovered stuffed inside a suitcase floating in a canal in Barangay Tanyag, Taguig City, on July 25, 2026.
Residents stumbled upon the suitcase after a waste picker noticed it entangled in water hoses. The suitcase was wrapped in a black plastic bag and emitted a strong odor.
Barangay officials were alerted, and upon opening the suitcase, they found the body of a woman.

The body was covered in multiple layers of black plastic, blankets, and a sack. Authorities have not yet confirmed if the victim lived in the area.
Deputy chief of the barangay security force, Mel Enriquez, stated, "I check the blotter book every day. There has been no reported missing person."
The victim is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, with tattoos including the names 'Wal' and 'ter' on her right leg.
Initial investigations suggest that heavy rains may have swept the body into the canal.
Police have alerted nearby stations to check for any missing persons matching the woman's description.
