A man was taken into custody on May 4, 2026, in Talisay City for brandishing a sword and threatening local residents.
Identified as Ricky, the suspect allegedly provoked several individuals before returning with a 30-inch sword.
The incident occurred in Sitio Iba, Brgy. Lagtang, where a neighbor, known as Genard, reported Ricky's actions to the police.
Witnesses claimed that Ricky appeared intoxicated during the confrontation, which began while he was sitting near a basketball court.
After initially leaving the area, Ricky returned with the weapon, prompting Genard to call for police assistance.
Authorities apprehended the suspect upon arrival, recovering the sword he had been wielding.
Ricky is currently in custody at the Talisay Police Station and awaits formal charges.
