The Philippine National Police (PNP) has confirmed the identification of one suspect in the killing of Ceferino 'Perry' Mariano, 75, and his driver, Norberto Orimaco, 51.

PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño stated that both suspects have prior criminal records and warrants for their arrest.

Tuaño added that the suspects are believed to be operating outside Metro Manila, complicating the ongoing manhunt.

Mariano and Orimaco were attacked on April 28 while traveling on Timog Avenue. The assailants, riding a motorcycle, fired at their vehicle.

Security footage captured the suspects fleeing the scene, with indications that they abandoned their motorcycle nearby.

Police recovered the motorcycle and found several latent prints, but it is still unclear whether they belong to the shooter or the driver.

The lifting of the latent prints has yielded results. We have yet to identify whether these prints are from the driver or the gunman.
