Cebu City authorities seized more than P10.5 million worth of illegal drugs during coordinated operations on June 26 and 27, 2026. The two significant busts target high-value drug suspects as part of an ongoing crackdown on narcotics.
Details of the Operations
The first operation took place at 12:20 a.m. on June 27, when the Mabolo Police Station's drug enforcement team conducted a buy-bust in Sitio San Isidro, Barangay Mabolo. Police apprehended Cristito Tumampo Jr., also known as Junjun, a 26-year-old resident of Sitio Magsaysay, Barangay Sawang Calero.
The suspect is considered a high-value target by the Philippine National Police (PNP).

During this operation, authorities confiscated a package containing approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, valued at around P6.8 million, in addition to the buy-bust money.
In a related incident on the evening of June 26, officers from the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) arrested a 21-year-old suspect named James Eduard Nabua in V. Rama, Barangay Calamba. This buy-bust yielded 550 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated worth of P3.74 million.
Both suspects face charges under Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, which deals with the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The seized drugs have been forwarded to the PNP Forensic Unit for further analysis.
