A 32-year-old man is in police custody following the stabbing of his 19-year-old brother-in-law during a confrontation over an unpaid debt in Bukidnon. The incident occurred on Friday, July 3, in Sitio Kauswagan, Barangay Little Baguio.

According to reports from the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, the dispute escalated when the victim sought to address a prior argument regarding a workplace debt. During the altercation, the suspect attacked the victim from behind, stabbing him once in the left waist with a jungle knife.
The victim was quickly transported to Bukidnon Provincial Hospital for treatment.
Immediate Aftermath
After fleeing the scene, the suspect surrendered to the police later that evening, around 11:50 p.m., and handed over the weapon used in the attack.
He is currently detained while authorities prepare criminal charges to be filed with the Office of the Prosecutor.
