According to GMA Regional TV, the girl's father discovered her bleeding in their house on Wednesday evening. He had been at work in the fields while his wife was home with their daughter.
The father suspects the crime occurred around 2 p.m., shortly before his wife left for her family home in Dingle at 3 p.m. Upon returning, the mother reportedly informed the father that their daughter was no longer alive.
Later that evening, family members escorted the mother to the police station for questioning. While she denied any involvement, discrepancies in her story raised suspicions among investigators.
