Stellar Philippines and web3 education platform Rise In concluded their 'Build the Future of Finance' hackathon on May 23, 2026, in Manila. The event saw the successful deployment of 28 applications on the Stellar Mainnet.
Record Participation and Project Submissions
The hackathon attracted 165 participants, resulting in 32 project submissions. A panel of judges, including industry leaders from PDAX and other organizations, evaluated the projects.
Finalists received technical mentoring from Stellar Philippines Tech Lead Armi Obinguar and other experienced mentors.

The awards ceremony celebrated innovative approaches to address local financial challenges. The winning projects showcased solutions to connectivity issues, liquidity for small enterprises, and improved remittance processes.
Institutional Support and Future Prospects
At the Demo Day, PDAX facilitated access to its API staging environment, allowing participants to explore interactions between decentralized applications and regulated frameworks. This integration reflects the growing adoption of blockchain technology in the Philippine financial sector.
Stellar Philippines Country Lead Nelson Lumbres noted that many teams are now preparing for the upcoming APAC Stellar Hackathon, indicating ongoing engagement in the region's blockchain ecosystem.
