Phinma Corporation's first-quarter net income surged to P407.43 million, an increase of 113% from last year's P191.27 million. This growth was primarily driven by the performance of its education, solar energy, and hospitality sectors.

The conglomerate's consolidated net income rose to P892.28 million from P562.62 million during the same period last year. However, total revenues dipped to P5.45 billion from P6.60 billion in Q1 2025.

Phinma attributed the positive results to strong sales and disciplined financial management across its various business units. The education division, in particular, saw a significant boost.

Phinma Education Holdings, Inc. reported a 12% increase in enrollment for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, contributing P2.34 billion to consolidated revenues and P1.13 billion to net income.

The education unit also expanded its reach by acquiring Southeastern College, now its 12th institution in the Philippines and 14th in Southeast Asia.

In contrast, the construction materials segment generated P2.56 billion in revenue but faced a net loss of P23.78 million due to ongoing market challenges. Philcement Corp., part of this segment, secured a notable equity investment to support its Davao facility.

The property sector struggled amid a slowdown in Metro Manila's real estate market, posting P337.52 million in revenues and a net loss of P230.04 million.

Phinma’s hospitality business performed better, reporting P144.06 million in revenues and a net income of P12.8 million, thanks to improved occupancy rates.

Our Strategic Business Units continue to focus on execution, stronger revenue generation, cost management, and the strategic use of capital to bolster our financial position and support long-term growth plans.

As of the end of March, Phinma held P4.29 billion in cash and cash equivalents, with total assets valued at P61.1 billion and total stockholders’ equity at P18.61 billion.
