Another shipment is scheduled for Toronto on September 24, comprising 300 kilograms of durian and 200 kilograms of mangosteen. These exports follow recent successes in France, where Philippine durian has already made significant inroads.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr. emphasized that these shipments align with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s directive to explore new markets for Philippine agricultural products.

The Vancouver shipment, facilitated by Philippine Airlines cargo, was imported by Fresh Makers Ltd., which also recently brought in 250 cartons of fresh Carabao mangoes to Canada.
