The Philippine government has set aside P6.2 billion in aid for farmers and fisherfolk facing the impacts of the upcoming El Niño phenomenon. The Department of Agriculture (DA) confirmed the release of a Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) on September 9.
Breakdown of the Financial Aid
DA spokesperson Arnel V. de Mesa stated that guidelines for cash assistance distribution will be announced soon, with plans for implementation within the year.
