NUVA Digital, the innovative software development company behind the real-world asset (RWA) platform NUVA, has announced it secured $5.2 million in seed funding on April 28. The funding round was led by Morgan Creek Digital.

Co-founded by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, NUVA Digital plans to utilize the investment to enhance its curated vault marketplace and facilitate multi-chain deployments.

Platform Overview and Features

NUVA operates as a non-custodial distribution layer for RWA vaults. Users can deposit stablecoins to mint liquid tokens that yield returns, according to a company statement.

The platform emphasizes transparency with on-chain proof of reserves and does not impose minimum deposit requirements or lockups. Future developments include new issuer integrations and the introduction of a NUVA utility token.

NUVA’s marketplace model solves the fragmentation problem by creating a simple, unified experience where anyone can access top-tier RWA vaults.

CEO Anthony Moro expressed that this funding validates the demand for a neutral platform that offers vaults without custody or origination risks. He highlighted that the investment will expedite the delivery of composability for vaulted assets within decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.

Institutional Support

NUVA Digital was incubated by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, the latter of which develops on the Provenance Blockchain, currently holding over $23 billion in total value locked.

In related news, Animoca Brands recently announced a $10 million investment program for its AI agent platform, "Minds," and extended the exclusivity period for a potential reverse merger with Currenc Group until June 30, 2026.
