Residents in parts of Metro Manila, Rizal, and Cavite will experience water service interruptions due to maintenance activities conducted by Manila Water Company Inc. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. The disruptions are set to occur from September 14 to 20.

Scheduled Interruptions Across Multiple Locations

Manila Water has announced specific areas affected in Quezon City, including:

  • Brgy. Pasong Tamo: September 14-15, 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. for zero pressure testing.
  • Brgy. Holy Spirit: September 14-15, 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. for line meter replacement.
  • Brgy. Tandang Sora: September 16-17, 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. for zero pressure testing.

In Marikina City, interruptions will affect areas in Brgy. Parang and Tumana on September 15-16 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.

Furthermore, in Rizal, areas such as San Roque and Dalig in Antipolo will have interruptions on September 14-15 due to leak repairs.

Residents are advised to store enough water for their needs during these interruptions.

Maynilad also reported service interruptions in Quezon City, affecting barangays including:

  • Batasan Hills and Commonwealth: September 14-15, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for network maintenance.
  • Bagong Silangan: September 14-16, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for pressure testing.

In Cavite, Imus City will see interruptions in multiple barangays from September 14-20, daily from 5 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. due to limitations at the Patindig Araw pumping station.

Preparation for Residents

Residents are encouraged to prepare for these disruptions by storing water ahead of time. Historical patterns show that maintenance-related service interruptions can lead to inconveniences, particularly in densely populated areas.
