Mandaue City is set to enhance its financial support for senior citizens, with the annual cash assistance rising from ₱10,000 to ₱11,000 this year. The increase will take effect in November, with further adjustments planned for 2027.

The Mandaue City Council approved the ordinance, aimed at assisting senior citizens in managing their living expenses. This change is particularly significant as many seniors rely heavily on this aid for essential needs.
The first tranche of ₱5,000 was already distributed in April, while the remaining ₱6,000 has been rescheduled for earlier disbursement in November, as opposed to December.
Starting next year, the revised schedule will see payouts occurring every June and November, ensuring seniors receive funds more regularly.
