Globe Telecom has initiated a support program for residents in Albay province impacted by the ongoing unrest of Mayon Volcano. The telecommunications firm aims to ensure uninterrupted communication for those in affected areas.

According to a press release, residents in the municipalities of Camalig, Guinobatan, Jovellar, Daraga, Ligao, Tabaco, Malilipot, Bacacay, Sto. Domingo, Polangui, and Oas will benefit from various connectivity aids.

The support includes temporary unlimited calls and texts to all networks, 100MB of mobile data for social media, and an additional 100MB of open-access data for other applications.

Moreover, prepaid broadband users have been granted open-access data, along with a three-day promo extension. For postpaid subscribers, payment deadlines have been extended, and GFiber Postpaid customers will receive an extra 15GB of data valid for 15 days.

Globe Telecom affirmed that its network facilities in Albay remain operational, ensuring vital communication services are accessible to families, responders, and local communities.

The company is also facilitating donations through its digital platforms to support relief efforts, collaborating with humanitarian organizations.
