Changan Group unveiled its self-developed Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), named SDA Pilot, during the 28th Chongqing International Auto Exhibition on June 14, 2026. The launch highlights Changan's push towards innovative automotive technology.
Three-Tier Safety Features Transforming Driver Experience
Changan will work together with partners and users worldwide to make ADAS better, more practical, and more accessible.

- SDA Pilot Pro: Equipped with LiDAR for enhanced obstacle detection.
- SDA Pilot Max: Utilizes over 20 million real-world data segments.
- SDA Pilot Ultra: Features advanced interactive functions through VLM.
Changan's SDA Pilot includes three safety tiers: Pro, Max, and Ultra. Each version enhances driving assistance features, with the Pro model utilizing LiDAR for superior obstacle detection, even in low-light conditions.
The advanced Max model leverages extensive real-world data to navigate complex traffic scenarios confidently. The Ultra version incorporates a Vision Language Model (VLM) to improve environmental interaction, aiming to create a more intuitive driving experience.
Despite these advancements, Changan emphasizes that driver assistance does not equate to autonomous driving. Drivers must remain vigilant and ready to take control at all times.
Strategic Vision for Global Leadership
The launch of SDA Pilot aligns with Changan's '1445' Global Strategy, aiming for significant advancements in intelligent mobility by 2030. This initiative represents a culmination of 17 years of research and development in intelligent vehicle safety.
Changan has established China’s only national key laboratory for intelligent vehicle safety, the CHANGAN SDA LAB, which supports extensive global testing. The company has logged over 5 million kilometers in real-road tests, enhancing the reliability of its systems.
With a robust international presence, Changan operates 22 manufacturing bases and 1,124 sales outlets worldwide. In 2025, the company reported a growth of 18.9% in overseas sales, further solidifying its market influence.
