Eli Remolona Jr., Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), has been named the highest paid government executive in the Philippines for the third consecutive year, according to the Commission on Audit (COA).
In 2025, Remolona's total earnings reached P52.756 million, comprised of his basic salary, bonuses, allowances, and discretionary funds.
His compensation package includes a basic salary of P12 million, P21.6 million in bonuses and incentives, P18 million in allowances, and P1 million for miscellaneous expenses.
This marks a significant increase from previous years, where he earned P47.97 million in 2024 and P35.48 million in 2023.
Top Earners at BSP
Several other BSP officials also ranked among the top paid government executives. Deputy Governor Elmore Capule earned P36.015 million, while Senior Assistant Governor Johnny Noe Ravalo received P30.588 million.
The list continues with Senior Assistant Governor Edna Villa at P30.52 million and Monetary Board Member Benjamin Diokno at P30.199 million.
Since its establishment in 1993, BSP officials have been exempt from the salary standardization law, allowing for these significant earnings.
