Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI), a subsidiary of the Ayala Corporation, reported a 36.4% increase in net income for the first quarter of 2026, totaling $4.5 million. This growth occurred despite ongoing market challenges linked to mobility sectors.

The company's revenue remained stable at $220 million, reflecting resilience in a challenging environment. IMI attributed its profit rise to effective cost management and enhanced factory utilization.

The gross profit margin improved to 9.7%, up from 8.7% in the previous year, thanks to disciplined pricing strategies and optimization of factory operations.

Earnings and Market Outlook

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased to $15.5 million from $14.6 million. IMI also benefited from reduced financing costs, which contributed to overall profitability.

Despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, IMI noted that these factors have not significantly impacted operations. The company continues to assess supply chain risks and logistics disruptions.

We remain focused on optimizing our operations to navigate market challenges effectively.
