The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) is set to initiate an investment mission to Malaysia from July 7 to 9, focusing on attracting investments in clean energy and airport development.

Exploring New Opportunities for Growth

In addition to clean energy projects, APECO will also seek investments in seaport development, enhancing its role as a significant port on the Philippines' Pacific coast.

APECO aims to promote the Casiguran International New Port and participate in the 24th ASEAN Ports and Logistics 2026 Conference in Kuala Lumpur.

The session provides APECO with a strategic platform to present Casiguran as a future Pacific-facing gateway for cargo consolidation, storage, processing and redistribution.

Gil G. Taway IV, APECO President and CEO, will join a forum at the conference, discussing the evolution of trade routes in the ASEAN region.

The Aurora ecozone, located 357 kilometers northeast of Manila, offers direct access to the Pacific Ocean, presenting itself as an alternative shipping hub for major markets in the Asia-Pacific and North America.

Under Mr. Taway's leadership, APECO has successfully attracted P18 billion in investments across various sectors, including renewable energy, defense, and tourism.
