Iran's Revolutionary Guards issued a firm denial on Monday regarding claims that commercial ships had navigated through the Strait of Hormuz. This statement came after the US military reported that two US-flagged merchant vessels successfully transited the critical waterway.
"No commercial vessels or oil tankers have passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the past few hours," the Guards stated on Telegram. They dismissed the US assertions as "baseless and completely false."
In a related statement, Iranian army commander Amir Hatami alleged that American destroyers approached the Strait by turning off their radar, emphasizing Iran's readiness to respond with force.

Hatami remarked on social media platform X, "Cruise missiles and combat drones took flight. The security of this region is Iran's red line." This highlights the ongoing military tensions in the region.
In contrast, the US Central Command confirmed that their guided-missile destroyers had indeed passed through Hormuz, as part of a mission aimed at restoring maritime traffic.
"Two US-flagged merchant vessels have successfully transited through the Strait of Hormuz and are safely headed on their journey," the US military stated.
