Five teams celebrated victories during the second week of the Architects and Engineers Basketball Association (AEBA) 9th Corporate Cup at the University of San Carlos (USC) Downtown Campus.
Avantrac kicked off the action with a decisive 90-67 win against Dextructures. Jemcerson Sable starred for Avantrac, scoring 29 points and contributing two rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Noriko Benedicto added 21 points to help secure the win.
Dextructures' Rozien Rivera led his team with 21 points, while Dexter Estilloro posted a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds.
RELLM Engineering followed suit with a strong 97-72 victory over Fenestram. Jepher Salazar Auguis was the standout performer, scoring 23 points, while Christopher Gayotin of Fenestram managed a game-high 33 points.
Close Contests Highlight Weekend Action
Davies Paints edged out EGS Surveying with a narrow 67-60 victory. John Therese Buhawe and Mark Anthony Bajenting combined for 27 points to lead Davies Paints.
EGS Surveying was powered by Dafydd Tallido and Zuriel Dunque, who scored 15 and 14 points, respectively.
In another matchup, Sinclair defeated Sports & Play 84-74, with Philip Alegado leading the charge with 23 points. Angelo Taduyan and Alfredo Sanchez supported with 17 and 16 points.
Sports & Play's Jeane Paolo Perez scored 22 points but could not avert the loss.
Johnro Electrical capped the weekend with a 78-67 win over CBM Engineering, highlighted by John Cubar's 18-point performance.
