In preparation for the 54th anniversary of the Martial Law declaration, the Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) has deployed 3,874 personnel across Eastern Visayas. This move aims to maintain peace amid anticipated mass actions and public gatherings.

- 1,006 personnel at checkpoints and border control points
- 267 members assigned to Civil Disturbance Management teams
- 255 personnel as Quick Reaction Teams
- 464 from the Reactionary Standby Support Force
- 214 personnel for covert operations
