Bong Revilla Jr., the former senator, has received permission from the Sandiganbayan to post bail in a malversation case linked to alleged fraudulent flood control projects in Pandi, Bulacan, amounting to P92.8 million.
The anti-graft court's decision allows Revilla to be temporarily released while his case is ongoing.
The Sandiganbayan has granted bail for Revilla, but denied petitions for his co-accused.

While Revilla can secure his temporary freedom, the court denied bail requests from six co-defendants, including former officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Prosecutors from the Ombudsman allege that Revilla and his co-accused falsely claimed that the flood control projects were completed, despite no actual construction occurring.
They are also accused of forging accomplishment reports, creating deceptive billing documents, and endorsing disbursement vouchers to facilitate the release of funds.
Revilla's bail for the malversation case is set at P1 million. Previously, he was allowed to post bail of P90,000 for separate graft charges.
Revilla has consistently denied the allegations against him, and he remains in detention at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas.
