The death of a child at Lapu-Lapu City Hospital is now under investigation, following serious concerns raised by the grieving mother. Xina Nosca expressed her distress on social media regarding the treatment her child received before passing away.
Nosca reported that she and her child arrived at the hospital's emergency room on September 8 at around 11 a.m. They waited for an X-ray result, during which the child's condition reportedly worsened.

After being told that her child’s condition had improved, Nosca became alarmed when she noticed her child’s lips turning blue. She alleged that hospital staff delayed in responding to her child’s deteriorating state.
The child ultimately died at approximately 1:31 a.m. the next day. In response to the incident, Lapu-Lapu City Hospital released a statement on September 11 detailing the care provided to the patient.
Despite initial improvements, the child's condition rapidly declined, leading to severe complications. The hospital reported that the child developed cyanosis, followed by a seizure, which prompted emergency interventions including intubation.
