GMA Pictures' animated documentary '58th' has earned an R16 rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). This rating comes just in time for its limited run in Philippine cinemas.

The film will be exclusively screened at Shangri-La Plaza Red Carpet Cinemas from September 16 to 22, 2026.

'Ghost month is finally over. We reapplied for a rating... but only till September 23,' said Nessa Valdellon, GMA Network's Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Executive Vice President for GMA Pictures.

'58th' tells the poignant story of Reynafe Castillo, portrayed by Glaiza De Castro, who seeks justice for her father, the 58th victim of the infamous Maguindanao massacre.

  • The film received multiple awards at the Manila International Film Festival in Hollywood.
  • It has been shortlisted for the Best International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards.
  • A screening is also scheduled for the 31st Busan International Film Festival from October 6-15.
