The National Toy Hall of Fame has released its list of finalists for the Class of 2026, featuring iconic toys such as Tickle Me Elmo, Bingo, and the playground slide.
A Diverse Lineup of Nominees
It’s debating season, and this year’s finalists give everyone plenty to talk about — from classic games to plush icons and other toys that have shaped generations of play.

The Hall has opened public voting from September 16 to 23. This year’s finalists also include notable games and collectibles, such as the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Mahjong, which have long sought induction.
To be honored, toys must be recognized as cultural icons, engaging multiple generations and inspiring creativity. The three chosen toys will join the ranks of 90 already enshrined, including classics like Cabbage Patch Kids and Hot Wheels.
Historically, toys like Tickle Me Elmo have been nominated multiple times, reflecting their lasting impact on play and culture.
